The Process

Having a great looking website, which is as easy as possible for the user to navigate, is highly important to us. Whilst designing a new website is exciting, it can be a daunting project for some. Which is why at Willco Web Design, we break the whole journey down into 7 manageable steps. Only when you are happy with the current step, will we start to move onto the next. We use a content management system which enables you to edit and update your website whenever, where ever.

The Design Process

Initial design

The first step along the process is to have a meeting to talk about your company and your requirements for the website, as well as giving you the opportunity to meet us in person. We will discuss elements like colour schemes, functionality, target audience, keywords for search engines, navigation, pages and any other information you would like to see reflected in the design. For those taking one of our ecommerce packages, we discuss the products and the features you are looking for.

Design brief to the designers

After the initial meeting we will put together a Design Brief, for you to review and make any changes you feel are necessary. Once you are happy with the design brief, we will then send it off to our designers. At Willco Web Design, we have a great team of designers, coming from a very wide and varied background, meaning we get back multiple design ideas ready for your review.

Reviewing the designs

Once the designers have put together their design concepts, we will send these over to you for your thoughts on the concepts. In our experience, our clients have liked various things from different designs. Therefore the next step is to choose a main design to work from and add elements from the other designs until we are completely satisfied with the result.

Creating the website

The next step, once we are happy with the design, is for us to convert it into a website and bring together any images you have,  content you have supplied and original content from our team of professional copywriters. It is at this point that the website really starts to come to life.

Training and final changes

Once the website is in place, we will arrange a training session to run through how to make changes to the website. Including, how to create a new page, edit an existing page, change the menu order of pages, add images and use any additional features that have been added to the site.

For those taking out an Ecommerce package, we will discuss using the software. For example, we will run through adding of products, editing existing products, viewing orders, communication with customers etc.

We can also use this session to prepare any email addresses that need setting up.

Going Live

The final apart of the journey is to launch the website to the world! We will arrange a suitable time and date to make the switch from our demo site, to the main website.

Once the journey is complete, we will then be on hand for further support should you need. You also have the comfort of knowing that any future developments can be added to the system at any point. Testimonial

Just want to write and say a big thank you for creating a wonderful website for me. I have had so many comments, even my children were impressed by how good it looks and how easy it is to use. The layout is so wonderful and clear, clients can see at a glance what they want to view and get there quickly and easily. I also like the way clients can contact me via email from the website. It just makes it so simple to use.

Thank you also for your patience and support when I had to update the site..
